Geothermal Beer Night is an informal event to meet folks in the geothermal energy industry and those who want to see this industry take off.  Join other like minded individuals for a drink or two and share your enthusiasm for one of the cleanest, cost effective power supply options on earth!

Dewly Nelson: Town Councillor & HEAT (Hinton Energy Alternative Team) member

Mr. Nelson will be speaking from the perspective of a municipality on the ongoing journey towards a geothermal district energy system, (http://www.hinton.ca/814/Hinton-Geothermal) the creation of a local alternative energy team, public outreach, common misconceptions, and provide an update to the project.

 Geothermal (or earth heat) energy is a clean, renewable source of both power and heat. It is proven technology that provides baseload (24 hours a day, 365 days a year) power, has low to no emissions and one of the smallest environmental footprints of any power supply. Geothermal can be a cost-effective and practical energy solution for an entire generation of Canadians.
