ABOUT THE JOB 

The Company is currently seeking a highly skilled Site Administrator based out of our Drumheller, Alberta site location on a 6 months fixed term contract.  The successful Site Administrator will ensure the prompt and accurate entry of project data including labour, equipment, safety, and materials into a custom costing/billing database as well as swift coordination of all logistics relating to crew members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurate and efficient data entry of daily labour, equipment and 3rd Party charges into a custom costing/billing database according to pre-established deadlines.

  • Ensure project costs are allocated correctly to the corresponding job number and cost code.

  • Administer all incoming and outgoing workers with respect to required tickets, training, transportation and travel, passes, and accommodations.

  • Track and receive Purchase Orders in an electronic accounting software program.

  • Assist Project Manager/Superintendent with crew logistics.

  • Provide general administrative assistance as required including word processing, filing, transmittal generation and preparation of courier packages.

  • Create and/or update existing spreadsheets, including but not limited to the tracking of site personnel, equipment hours, ensuring that information is accurate and updated.

  • Other such administrative duties as required.

APPLICANT QUALITIES  

  • 3 to 5 years of construction administration experience;
  • Certificate or diploma in administration considered an asset;
  • Able to work on a technical environment
  • Must be experienced dealing with confidential information in accordance with privacy legislation;
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills along with organizational abilities;
  • Detail and results oriented with the ability to multitask, and adhere to deadlines.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and a reliable vehicle;
  • Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Excel and Word is required;
  • Must be willing to work assigned site(s), rotational shift(s), and be flexible to stay in accommodations if required.

  • Fixed Term Contract (6 months)
  • The base hours of work are a regular 44-hour work week, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs.

THIS IS A JOB OPENING POST 

This position is posted by Iron & Earth. Your interest in this position would involve participating in the Net-Zero Pathways (NZP) Program, once hired by the employer. 

The Net-Zero Pathways Program will enable self-identified and engaged Indigenous and fossil fuel workers, members of underserved communities (list or not?)  to diversify their skills into the net-zero sector.

NZP is a 7-week program that provides one-on-one case management, employability soft skills teachings, and engagement with employers to recruit and hire skilled workers seeking reliable employment opportunities. 

Week 1: Introduction /overview of the renewable energy sector. NZP offers a fully paid 5-day (including wrap-around financial assistance) employability and employer-based workshop with an overview of the opportunities in the renewable energy sector.

Weeks 2-7: Hands on training. We will assist you for the first 6 weeks of your employment onboarding with an employer in the renewable energy industry.
