Delia Warren (P. Eng.) is an Iron and Earth Worker Ambassador. From a young age, Delia was concerned by the adverse impacts of human activity on the environment and was convinced that transitioning to renewable energy would create a sustainable future for our planet and its people. She recognized that integrating renewables into our energy strategy would provide an incredible opportunity for economic development and job creation.

Graduating from Memorial University with a degree in mechanical engineering, Delia tried to find work in offshore wind generation but instead spent seven years working in the offshore oil and gas industry in Scotland, France, Africa and at home in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Starting her career as a pipeline engineer in R&D she eventually transitioned into subsea and offshore structural design—skills that are highly transferable to the renewable energy industry. Following the oil downturn, she began volunteering at Iron & Earth East, eventually taking on the role of director in October 2016 and continuing as a Worker Ambassador now. She loves to travel and is currently completing an MBA at Memorial University.
