Join Iron & Earth Calgary on Monday 6th March as they host their next chapter meetup in partnership with ELSE (Emerging Leaders for Solar Energy) at Trolley 5 on 17th Ave.

The night will kick off with an update on all things Iron & Earth followed by an introduction to our co-hosts ELSE.

Once the intro's are done it's time for the star of the night, our guest speaker Geoff Domenico!

We invited Geoff (KCP Energy) to give our members insight and an in depth appreciation of the Solar Industry, so if that's 'your bag' make sure you're there!

Following Geoff's speech we will be breaking out into another networking session for members, supporters and stakeholders alike to chew the fat from the nights presentations and share a drink or two.

"What do I need?"

A drink, a positive attitude, an open ear, and possibly some writing materials (if you're the kind of person who likes to take notes)... oh, and questions, feel free to ask our team and guest speaker questions so you can leave the event content and full of new knowledge.

"How do I attend?"

The event is free and open to members, supporters and anyone wishing to learn more about Iron & Earth. To register for this event please visit our Eventbrite page here to secure your space.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Iron & Earth

Additional Notes

ELSE - ELSE is a growing network of young professionals, students, and solar advocates who are working with the Canadian Solar Industries Association and industry stakeholders to build a strong solar energy future across Canada.

KCP Energy - KCP is a one stop shop for energy efficiency and solar provisions in Alberta. They help homeowners use less and save more by assessing their home’s current efficiency and then installing the optimum solution for their needs.

*18% Gratuity will be added to tables/groups of 6 or more (this is a stipulation of Trolley 5, unfortunately this is out of Iron & Earth control, we would appreciate your understand in this regard)

Will you come?

Iron & Earth was founded and operates on Indigenous land within Treaty Six Territory and Métis Region 4 in amiskwaciy-wâskahikan (in Nehiyawewin/Cree), so-called Edmonton. The home of many Indigenous Peoples including the Nehiyawak/Cree, Tsuut’ina, Niitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Haudenosaunee/Iroquois, Dene Suliné, Anishinaabe/Ojibway/Saulteaux, and the Inuk/Inuit.

We pay our respects to all Indigenous Peoples of this land. Through their spiritual and practical relationships with the land, a rich heritage for our learning and our life as a community has been created and maintained. We recognize that the transition to a low-carbon future must be led by Indigenous Peoples and that there will be no justice unless we acknowledge and repair our relationship with the land.

We are committed to responding to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Calls to Action and upholding the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and acknowledge that we are always learning and unlearning practices that minimize harm and lead to the development of trust between us and Indigenous Peoples across Nations and urban centers.
